Jumeirah Maldives

Formerly known as Lux* North Male Atoll resort, Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hotel company has announced its new Maldives resort, Jumeirah Maldives, and will be welcoming its first guests from 1st October 2021 onwards.

This latest addition reveals the transformation of Olhahali island into one of the Maldives’ most innovative resorts. Coming in at an admirable 4th place in prestigious Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 Readers’ Choice Award - Indian Ocean Category, the former LUX* North Male Atoll Resort & Villas is contemporary in design and provides a stark contrast to the more traditional take on island life.

Make a choice between a 45 minute speedboat or a 15 minute seaplane transfer from Malé and arrive at the intimate resort, where you will discover an all-new modern twist on Maldivian hideaways, a far cry from the traditional woods and thatch.

Striking new architecture abounds, with 67 villas, residences and retreats on either the beach or over water and with huge spacious living areas. Guests can expect outdoor decks, private gardens and private pools.

Unique in the Maldives, each residence is crowned with an expansive reef terrace, a magnificent private deck that is elevated five metres above the giant house lagoon with barbecue grills, a rooftop bar, cinema, Yoga plinth and starlight Jacuzzi, to create the ultimate sky lounge for those who love the high life.

Extraordinary service, a breathtaking dose of design, innovative dining concepts, and all the details that take a holiday from good to perfect: Jumeirah Maldives defies all norms and stereotypes.

Inspiring nautical forms and tones enhance this intimate resort elegantly styled by Singapore design group Miaja. Each of the 67 residences sits either on the beach or overwater so that guests benefit from a breezy living area which is 350 sq m at the very minimum.

Spa and Wellness

This over-the-lagoon world of wellbeing is no ordinary spa. Here, the two-hour treatments for twosomes include body scrubs, massages and aromatherapy bathing rituals, ensuring you never miss a moment together. The treatment rooms are right over the water in view of where the ocean currents collide. For a more private experience, they also provide private spa treatments in your villa or in the fresh air on the rooftop with the waves as your soundtrack.

Not many islands are blessed with such a spectacular reef, metres from the beach, entertaining you with tropical fish, stingrays and the occasional pods of dolphins. Jumeirah Maldives is extremely well-positioned as a launchpad for outdoor and adventure seekers.

For the adventurous, Jumeirah Maldives has a world class PADI dive centre and access to the Maldives’ most famous shipwrecks and caves. Plenty of other activities are available - some complimentary - such as stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, wind surfing and more.
