Amanolu - Aman's First Destination in the Maldives
Updated: Oct 2
Set on its own private islet located on Vaavu Atoll, Amanolu takes its name from Aman, the Sanskrit word for 'peace ', and Olu, inspired by the water lily, a symbol of serenity, renewal, and a connection to nature. In one of the most secluded and tranquil parts of the Maldives, known for its exceptional diving, the architecture embraces the raw beauty and simplicity of its environment, drawing inspiration from the white coralline beaches and clear turquoise waters for which the destination is so renowned.
Amanolu will become Aman's first destination in the Maldives. The intimate 52-key resort will feature 16 fully serviced Aman-branded residences, each on its own private island. Designed by longtime Aman collaborator Kerry Hill Architects (KHA). The residences will consist of five-bedroom homes, each occupying its own private island, with expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces, a 25-metre swimming pool, dedicated staff accommodation and a personal berth.
In addition, the property will enjoy a variety of dining experiences and amenities designed to complement island living.
Embodying the brand’s pioneering approach to wellness, Amanolu will feature dedicated islands for wellness and recreation. The wellness island will house an Aman Spa and Spa Houses, while a separate activity island will offer opportunities for diving, snorkelling, watersports and marine exploration.
Amanolu will become Aman's first destination in the Maldives and is scheduled to open in 2028.
