The Restaurant & Bar
Amankila’s elegant, open-sided Restaurant is perched above the main pool with breathtaking views of the ocean.
Open for dinner, its menu features both Indonesian and Western dishes, with free-range duck reared on the resort’s farm in Jasri a specialty, and fresh ingredients picked daily from the resort’s organic garden. Begin your evening with a drink in the Bar alongside the Restaurant, a lofty-ceilinged space with the same awe-inspiring views.
Overlooking the resort’s largest swimming pool, the Amankila Beach Club is located behind the beach in a peaceful coconut grove. Roofed by the tussled heads of palm trees and carpeted by rolling lawns, the Coconut Grove is a verdant sanctuary for both fun and quiet respite.
A simple menu of salads and pizzas along with Indonesian and light Western dishes are served at the Beach Club for brunch, lunch, and afternoon tea. Drinks and light meals can also be enjoyed in eight secluded lounging bales right on the sand.
Set just back from Amankila’s signature three-tier pool, the Terrace is open for breakfast and lunch, offering a selection of Asian and Western fare with panoramic sea views.
With the three-tiered pool that emulates Bali’s cascading rice paddies merging with the sky and the ocean far below, this serene venue serves just-caught seafood, the freshest of salads, and other light, refreshing fare. Herbs come from the resort’s own garden, while locally sourced fruit and vegetables are the result of Mount Agung’s fertile soil.
Breakfast with a view
There is no better way to start the day than breakfast with a view. As the sun’s first rays light up Mount Agung and the rice terraces of the Buitan Valley, relax in Amankila's open-air bale atop Tamansari Hill.
A delicious breakfast picnic will be served by your own personal waiter. Sip on freshly squeezed juice as you take in cascading views across Bali's waking island.
Private Beach Dinner
Dine with your feet in the sand on Amankila's beach and savour a sustainable seafood barbeque with your own personal chef. As the smoke from your personal bonfire curls into the night sky, retire to a private beach bale for a night cap and stargazing.
Spa and Wellness
Drawing on the energy of East Bali, the Amankila Spa’s therapies aim for complete relaxation and presence in the moment.
Natural ingredients are used in traditional Balinese baths, scrubs and wraps – available in the privacy of guest Suites, the massage pavilion, a beach bale or secluded open-air spot with tropical canopy.
A range of styles taught by resident and visiting practitioners are available, including hatha, pranayama and vinyasa flow. Bapak Eka, Amankila's resident yoga instructor, conducts entertaining Laughing Yoga classes for one hour. Classes are held in our Yoga Bale, next to the beach, accompanied by the sound of crashing waves.
Located in the unspoilt Eastern region of Bali, Amankila serves as the perfect launchpad to explore East Bali.
With sacred mountains tower over villages tucked between emerald-green rice paddies, and life has changed little over the centuries. Discover the royal ruins and cultural heritage of this beautiful region and get active on land and sea.
As rich and colourful as East Bali is above the waves, its offshore realm is perhaps even more spectacular. With pristine reefs ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving, the coastline also offers superb surfing, fishing and cruising opportunities.
