Six Senses Laamu is the only resort in the Laamu Atoll, deep in the Indian Ocean. From Male International Airport (MLE) you’ll be escorted to the domestic terminal lounge ready for the 35-minute flight to Laamu’s Kadhdhoo Airport and a fascinating bird’s-eye view of the beautiful Maldives Archipelago.

True to the Six Senses’ philosophy of being in harmony with the environment, the 97 water and beachfront villas are carefully designed and constructed of sustainable materials. They are spread around the palm-fringed island paradise to complement the outstanding natural beauty of the island, offering privacy, coziness, and luxury.

 

Accommodation


Family Villa with Pool


These family beach villas are hidden between the lush tropical vegetation facing the sea and are ideal for families with children.

It comprises a beach villa with the addition of a study that can accommodate up to two children and has an adjoining bathroom. This family hideaway features a private pool and private access to the beach, which is only a few meters away. Sun loungers are placed strategically for sunshine and shade by the pool.

The master bedroom is only a few steps away from the children’s room and it has a complete view of the swimming pool.

Feel the soft sea breeze rushing through the leaves while bathing in the open-air branch-encircled shower or in the outdoor bathtub; or you can just relax in the private garden area. For a unique panoramic view of Maldivian nature, sapphire seascape and for catching an unforgettable colorful sunset, you can just climb to the treetop deck which features a comfortable seating and dining area, suitable for spending some quality time together.

 

Lagoon Beach Villa


Ths 220 sqm beachfront setting gives direct access to the lagoon, has a panoramic upper deck that face towards the turquoise lagoon of the island for amazing sunsets and a private garden area.


Hidden between the lush tropical vegetation facing the lagoon, these stylishly sustainable Maldives beach villas offer absolute privacy. You’ll get your own private access to the beach - only a few meters away and sun loungers are placed strategically for sunshine and shade between the sparkling waters of the lagoon and the hideaway retreat.

Set above the shallow lagoon, this 108sqm villa with an upper and lower deck face towards the turquoise lagoon of the island and are located close to the main island and can be reached by a short bicycle ride on the weather timber jetties.

The water villas feature a glass overwater bathtub with a view to the lagoon and an outdoor rain shower. For a unique panoramic view of the Indian Ocean, sapphire seascape and for catching an unforgettable colorful equatorial sunset, you can just climb to the treetop deck which features a comfortable dining area and viewing platform with day beds.

Whether you want to soak up some sun or enjoy the beautiful colors of the lagoon during the sunset or around the glass bottom table on the outside deck with day beds, sun loungers and over-water netting. With direct access to the sea, you can jump in for a swim or for a snorkel around the lagoon, or relax on the overwater netting hammock.

 

Ocean Water Villa


For guests who would enjoy more privacy, you can opt for the Ocean Water Villa which is located far away from the main island and faces the main ocean. The Ocean Water Villa has a similar configuration with the Lagoon Water Villa.


Cycle along the weathered timber jetty above the lagoon to these private enclosed overwater retreats that are far away from the main island.

Laze on the decking or on the overwater-netting hammock, soak up some sun and enjoy the beautiful colors of the ocean. During sunset, lay back on sun loungers or sit around the outside deck’s glass bottom table.

These villas also feature a glass overwater bathtub with a view to the lagoon and an outdoor rain shower. These private pool hideaways are located at the end of the weathered timber jetties and are the furthest away from the main island.

Guests who would like to enjoy the sunset view in the evening can opt for the 108 sqm Sunset Laamu Water Villa which enjoys a prime position towards the middle of Jetty A to face the sunset.

 

Dining


Six Senses Laamu’s dining alternatives have been designed to take the best advantage of the island’s idyllic beauty with panoramic views and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The over-water amenities facility of Six Senses Laamu is the largest in the Maldives, offering many options. In addition, organic meals served around the organic garden on the island.

Longitude

This open-air, two-story overwater dining venue begins each day with a bountiful breakfast. Dinner is an a-la-carte international menu of fresh catch, grilled meats, pastas and Asian flavors.

Twice a week, the resort’s chefs create a unique buffet experience for guests, with local and fresh ingredients.

 

LEAF

Perched above the organic garden, LEAF is Six Senses Laamu's sublime signature restaurant.

Talented chefs work with local ingredients sourced from Maldivian fishermen and farmers to create innovative dishes. The restaurant features an ever-changing Mediterranean menu for dinner.

 

Sip Sip

Sip Sip is a casual all-day alternative dining option with its sunken bar and adjacent poolside seating that emerges from the swimming pool.

Homemade pizzas, crisp salads, juicy burgers, a variety of pasta and locally inspired desserts. It is the perfect place to spend the day and enjoy refreshing mocktails or a fresh juice or to simply relax on a sun lounger and watch the sun set over the island of the Laamu atoll while enjoying a cocktail or a glass of wine.

 

Chill Bar

Built over the water and on several levels, Chill Bar presents a resident DJ to set the mood every evening while mixologists prepare cocktails with the freshest ingredients.


A Vietnamese menu is available throughout the day, along with the light beach classics. Every evening the resident DJ sets the ambient atmosphere by creating musical memories.

Six Senses Spa offers nine private treatment nests, either with an ocean view or tucked away in the lush nature that surrounds them.

Surf’s up! May to September is the time for the best waves. The YinYang Surf Break, the most famous break in Maldives, is only a few meters away from the resort. Daily boat trips are organized during this season

Try out a Sunset & Dolphin cruise - the dolphins often make their way through Laamu atoll at sunrise and sunset. Otherwise, get hands-on and go scuba diving. Six Senses Laamu is the only dive resort in the Laamu Atoll so you can virtually guarantee to have the dive sites to yourselves when you go out, something that is extremely rare for a world-class diving area and almost unheard of for a place with mantas year-round.

 

The Den

Six Senses Laamu hope every family leaves with memories of limitless sunshine, warm seas, crazy looking sea critters and precious time wrestled from the everyday routine to spend together. From their children's club The Den to in-villa babysitting, toys, baby chairs and hammocks, even little ones have big adventures.

The Den is a professionally-managed complimentary club for younger guests from 4 to 12 years with indoor and outdoor games, movies, junior baking plus arts and crafts.
